Welcome!
The Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME) sponsored Arts, Humanities and Social Sciennce in Medicine (AHSSM) Education Interest Group (EIG) was introduced to support networking and information sharing among those engaged in arts-based, humanities and social sciences-based teaching in medical and health professional education.
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website! We have created this website to offer information about upcoming AHSSM EIG events, available resources, as well as provide a directory listing of health humanities-related activities in Canadian medical schools.
Addressing a noted gap in this area relative to the US, UK, and other countries, the AHSSM EIG and its members are helping to expand awareness of, and dialogue about the presence and diversity of health humanities in medical and health professional education in Canada.
We welcome you to join us! Subscribe to our e-listserve, visit our website, or become a CAME member and be recognized as a member of the AHSSM EIG, and listed in our online membership directory. We hope that you find this website to be a useful resource. We plan on expanding and refining it over time. We look forward to your feedback!
